It certainly appears that worldly people don't give a rats ass about the JDubs and their cart sitting. We exdubs are the ones that care the most about the Watchtower's Companies activity. I guess the reasons for this is because they stole our childhood, took away a higher education, isolated us from our nonJdub relatives, and gave us false hopes and dreams.

Why do you just let people walk by if their very lives are at stake? Shouldn't run up to them and tell them of God's plans to destroy the world? Wouldn't that be the loving thing to do?
Are you counting time just standing here watching the world pass by?

when i was a jw elder and dreamed of living in paradise, i pictured all of the animals, beautiful people, perfect weather, welcoming back the dead and teaching them about god.
the only problem is to get to the point of making the earth a paradise first there will be around 8 billion bodies to bury.
then how are we going to dig through all of the rubble and collapsed buildings using what tools?
The older I get the angrier I get to think that I at one time believed in the pill of steamy bull shit being spoon fed to the JDubs by the Gibbering Booty. The sad thing is that you can't even have a serious conversation with them about it. They just clam up and you now have the sign "apostate" hanging around your neck.
The Watchtower Company knew what they were doing when they started enforcing shunning. A very smart move.

it has been several months now, since i learned ttat and the shock and grief is slowly lifting, although some days are harder than others.
after 40 years a devout believer i guess i should not be surprised that the transition has been challenging and the losses immense, and i am sure very many of you can relate to my struggles.
i frequently read the posts on here and my heart goes out to all of you, who grieve and struggle each in your own way, and i wish all of you continued courage and peace.

When I was a JW elder and dreamed of living in paradise, I pictured all of the animals, beautiful people, perfect weather, welcoming back the dead and teaching them about God.
The only problem is to get to the point of making the earth a paradise first there will be around 8 billion bodies to bury. Then how are we going to dig through all of the rubble and collapsed buildings using what tools? Who is going to dig the landfill where all of this rubble goes? Maybe we will just dump it into the ocean. I can't imagine that God will start resurrecting millions and millions of people to an earth that is not a paradise yet. I guess that turning the earth into a paradise will fall on the backs of the great crowd that survive the just around the corner great tribulation. I think it may take a 1,000 years of hard work before the earth even looks like a paradise.
I don't think that God will lift a finger to help unless he just waves his magic wand and presto the dead bodies and rubble are vaporized.
I think that the great crowd will make the earth a paradise not God.

i woke up this morning thinking about when my mom died about 10 years ago.
she was an avid jdub and was confident that she would be resurrected to an earthly paradise petting zoo.
if i would today go to my mom's house and because god brought her back to life, saw her sitting in her favorite chair, would she really be my mom?
There is not one shred of evidence that there has even been one resurrection on earth unless you believe in the Bible that was written 2,000 years ago.
Let's not forget that this is the same book that says there was a worldwide flood, a snake and a donkey talked, the red sea was parted, and the sun and moon stayed motionless so the Israelites could win a battle.
Maybe I am just too pessimistic. I have lost my faith but no my mind.

I think that God would have to make clones since as JDubs think, the resurrected will have the same DNA as when the person was alive. A copy would not have to have the identical DNA, just look like the person and give them some memories.
So if we die, our clones may get to live forever. Will the colony of earthly clones be thankful that the original source of DNA before the Great Tribulation was faithful to God even in the face of death?

If I would today go to my mom's house and because God brought her back to life, saw her sitting in her favorite chair, would she really be my mom? I know that her five pounds of cremates are still several feet under the grass. If she hugged me and knew all of our family details would that make her my mom? She would be someone who looked like Mom and knew the things that mom knew.
If God could recreate one mom could he just as easily make three moms for me? Of course, God could make as many as he wanted to. That means that the mom or moms sitting in her favorite chairs would only be a copy of my mom.
If the Borg with their Overlapper ringleaders were to promise that if we are faithful to Jehovah to the very end and we die that God will resurrect a copy of us that may give the JW's a reason to think about the need to focus on the life we now have not the one that we will never get.

well in order to shun someone you must dehumanize them much like what occurred in slavery.
dehumanizing someone now allows you treat them worst then an animal.
and now you can justify ignoring them there not human anymore.
The Overlappers act little two-year-olds. There can be a disfellowshipped person sitting in the back row of the Kingdom Hell on Sunday morning and everyone walks by without making eye contact with their noses up in the air. The next Thursday meeting it is announced that the disfellowshipped person is now reinstated.
Everyone now applauds and after the meeting the person is hugged and kissed. Now that is the type of friends that I want in my life.
